Salman Khan is reportedly gearing up for his next project with the filmmaker duo Raj & DK. Now, as per the latest development, Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to be the leading lady of the superhero movie. If this happens, the movie will be reuniting one of the most loved onscreen pairs of Bollywood.

According to the Variety India report, Kareena Kapoor Khan is in advanced talks with filmmaker duo Raj & DK to star opposite Salman Khan in their upcoming untitled superhero project. While Kareena hasn’t formally signed on the dotted line yet, she has “responded enthusiastically to her role and verbally committed interest.”Salman is said to have personally reached out to accelerate the conversation, a move that puts her firmly ahead of other reported candidates, including Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

If the deal goes through, this would mark Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s fifth on-screen collaboration and their first since Kabir Khan’s 2015 blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Their earlier pairings in ‘Kyon Ki’, ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’, and ‘Bodyguard’ are widely remembered by fans. The two reportedly share a strong personal rapport and have tried to work together again for years, making this project one that could finally deliver on that long-awaited reunion.

The yet-untitled film, produced by Atul Agnihotri and Mythri Movie Makers, will see Salman playing “a never-seen-before avatar, as he steps into the role of an ageing superhero who’s drawn back into action by circumstances beyond his control, eventually leading him into a larger conflict.” Envisioned on a massive scale, the project promises Raj & DK’s signature blend of sharp humour and stylised action.Salman Khan is expected to begin shooting around October–November 2026, after wrapping Vamshi Paidipally’s action entertainer, currently filming in Mumbai for an Eid 2027 release. The Raj & DK superhero film will also mark the duo’s theatrical comeback nearly a decade after ‘A Gentleman’ (2017).
