Prabhas will be seen in the upcoming war-action drama ‘Fauzi’ helmed by ‘Sita Ramam’ fame Hanu Raghavapudi was announced to hit the big screens on December 3. The makers have now confirmed the delay, although a new release date has not been announced yet.
Prabhas fans may have to wait a little longer for his upcoming period action film, Fauzi, as the makers have reportedly postponed its release.
The update came during a pre-release event for Nani’s The Paradise, where producer Ravi Shankar, who is backing Fauzi, confirmed that the film is being pushed back. While the new release date has not been announced yet, he assured fans that the additional time would help the team deliver a much bigger cinematic experience.
Ravi Shankar described Fauzi as a “next-level” project and compared its scale to Prabhas’ iconic Baahubali films. He also apologised to fans for the delay, saying the wait would ultimately be worthwhile.
Fauzi was previously scheduled to hit theatres on December 3, 2026. It was expected to arrive alongside other major releases, including Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma and Dulquer Salmaan’s Sri Sri, both slated for December 4. The makers are now expected to reveal a new release date, potentially in 2027.
In Fauzi, Prabhas is expected to portray a soldier. The film also marks Imanvi Esmail’s acting debut as the female lead, with Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada in important roles.
Prabhas also has Spirit, Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2 and Salaar: Part 2 in his upcoming lineup.
