Ahead of the release of his self-funded visual project FOMO, Drake has left fans excited by confirming plans to return to the road. The rapper recently discussed the project and his future during an interview, revealing that he expects to tour in 2027.
Drake confirms he is going on tour
Speaking to CTV’s etalk ahead of the FOMO livestream, Drake revealed that he is planning to get back on stage for his fans.“Obviously [a] tour is coming, and there are other things on the horizon. Some big shows,” he said.The rapper continued, “I mean, of course, we’ll be out, you know, in 2027 to see everybody again across the world. Hopefully, you’ll watch FOMO and we’ll see you on tour soon. You already know Big Six God, Big T-Rex, and the original nostalgia bosses here.”Drake’s comments mark an indication of his plans to return to an independent touring schedule after his most recent major solo tour.
When was Drake last on tour?
Drake’s most recent major tour was the It’s All a Blur Tour, which began in July 2023 and concluded with its final shows in April 2024.In February 2025, the rapper also joined Anitta for a couple of shows in Australia as part of her The Baile Funk Experience era, although he has not embarked on another independent headline tour since It’s All a Blur. With Drake now pointing towards a 2027 return to touring, fans will be waiting for further details about dates, cities and ticket announcements.

Drake first teased FOMO, which stands for “Fear of Missing Out”, on August 12, 2026, through an Instagram post captioned “FOMO 2026”. On September 3, he officially confirmed that the project would be released on September 15. In another Instagram post, Drake offered insight into the concept behind the visual project, describing it as “self-funded surrealism” and a story about making the most of one summer.“This is self-funded surrealism. A story about making the absolute most of it all in one summer. Credit to nobody but the members. Here’s some life advice before you watch. Nobody is coming to save you. You must use each day to decipher who you love and trust and march forward with them,” he wrote.He further encouraged fans to make the most of their lives, writing, “I hope this serves as motivation to make that call, take that trip, drop that song, open that shop, see your parents, leave that relationship or stay in it forever, spend the bread, get some more, etc.”Drake also reflected on the current state of music and his continued passion for creating.“They keep saying our genre is dying.
