MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav On Electoral Roll Revision, BJP Workers Go Door-To-Door

Madhya Pradesh, India - In a bid to ensure that the electoral rolls in the state are up-to-date and accurate, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday said that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of the electoral rolls is being carried out across the state. The SIR process, which is a crucial exercise in ensuring the integrity of the electoral system, involves a thorough revision of the electoral rolls to remove any dead, duplicate or incorrect entries.

To facilitate this process, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers have taken to going door-to-door in various parts of the state to verify the details of voters. The BJP workers, who are part of the electoral revision process, are collecting information from voters about their correct addresses, names and other details.

The SIR process, which began on October 1, is expected to be completed by November 25. The exercise is being carried out in all 51 districts of the state, and over 1,000 BJP workers have been deployed to assist in the process.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who launched the SIR process, said that the exercise is aimed at ensuring that the electoral rolls are accurate and up-to-date. He also urged voters to cooperate with the BJP workers and provide them with the necessary information to facilitate the revision process.

The SIR process is being carried out in the backdrop of the upcoming assembly elections in the state, which are scheduled to be held in 2025. The exercise is seen as an attempt by the BJP to ensure that the electoral rolls are free from any discrepancies and that the party has a clear edge in the polls.

The BJP workers, who are engaged in the door-to-door campaign, are also distributing voter ID cards to eligible voters and providing them with information about the electoral rolls. The exercise is expected to be completed soon, and the revised electoral rolls are expected to be published by the end of November.
