Delhi Prepares For First Special Intensive Voter List Revision Since 2002; BLOs Appointed

In a major development ahead of the Delhi elections 2025, the Election Office in New Delhi has initiated the first special intensive voter list revision since 2002. This exercise is aimed at updating the electoral rolls and ensuring that all eligible voters are registered.

As part of this process, the Election Office has appointed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to oversee the voter list revision. The BLOs will be responsible for verifying the details of voters, including their names, addresses, and age, to ensure that they are eligible to vote.

The special intensive revision will focus on slum clusters and areas where there has been significant resettlement in recent years. This is to ensure that all relocated voters are registered and have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

To facilitate the process, the Election Office has launched a RWA (Resident Welfare Association) awareness campaign. The campaign aims to educate residents about the importance of updating their voter details and the procedures involved.

The voter verification process will involve door-to-door visits by BLOs, who will collect information from residents and update the electoral rolls accordingly. The process is expected to be completed within the next few weeks.

The Election Office has also trained the BLOs to ensure that they are equipped to handle the task efficiently. The training program covered topics such as voter list update, electoral roll verification, and voter registration.

Residents can check their voter details on the CEO Delhi website or by contacting their local BLO. The updated voter list will be available on the website once the revision process is complete. The Election Office has urged all eligible voters to take advantage of this opportunity to update their voter details and exercise their right to vote in the upcoming Delhi elections.
